Data Science is a multidisciplinary practice requiring skills in computer science, math, analytical techniques and domain expertise. The Data Science Club at the College of San Mateo aims to advance students’ understanding of the field of data science through:
Data is growing rapidly and all CSM students stand to benefit greatly in their respective careers by understanding the tools and techniques used in data science.

Meetings are once weekly on Zoom, and occur on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday at 6PM. Meetings typically last 30 minutes and focus on learning more about data science, admin topics, and future plans and ideas.

WebDevAs of Spring 2021, Drew is a CSM student in his 2.5? semester at College of San Mateo studying for the ‘Data Science and Big Data’ certificate. He founded the ‘Club’ with the hope of helping students (including himself!) better understand data science and its relevance to their careers. He hopes to enter a Masters program in the near future.
He really really likes coffee and will happily discuss mobility ad nauseam. So beware of an overly enthusiastic and energized conversation.
